Born and raised in Hawaii, Marie started competing in Hula (Hawaiian dance) at the age of 2. While competing, Marie learned to work meticulously with her hands, making "lei" and adornments for Hula performances as well as costume making and make up. As her skills grew, Marie traveled frequently to Japan and Mexico, continuously inspired by the world of performance in varied cultures.
Lured by the beauty in theatrical hair and makeup, Marie moved to NYC in 2009 to pursue the artistry of hair in a high end setting. What better place than 5th Avenue! It was her Hawaiian girls bucket list/dream to be here!
Now, with over 14 years under her belt, Marie’s dexterity with her hands and her eye for shape and form have catapulted her to her dream job - Beautifying every person who sits in her chair with her skilled hands and a touch of Aloha - Love!
Marie’s work has appeared on Fox 5 and The Rachel Ray show.
